Job Description

We are looking for an experienced healthcare professional with knowledge on the latest clinical guidelines, patient management strategies and emerging therapies in focused therapeutic areas. The perfect candidate is a motivated self-starter who can act independently to identify and execute on new funding opportunities in the healthcare arena by aligning educational gaps with potential sources of funding. In this role you will lead the content and development strategy efforts to seek funding, including both marketing and grants, to create online and live courses and modules for physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare providers. You will have the opportunity to utilize your experience and expertise to educate healthcare providers in meaningful ways and truly make an positive impact on patients outcomes around the globe.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • In assigned therapeutic areas, serve as the lead or the latest insights into important clinical issues, relevant literature, clinical practice guidelines, approved and pipeline therapeutic drugs/regimens/devices, and key opinion leaders
  • In response to identified knowledge, competency and performance gaps, develop a funding-seeking strategy
  • Partner with sales and business development to execute proposals and programs that align with potential funding opportunities and current educational needs
  • Independently create materials (PowerPoint Slides, project documents, etc.) to support obtaining funding
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external medical subject matter experts
  • Use tools and templates to support the development of grant proposals
  • For funded projects, partner with the content development team to ensure the original goals of the grant are met

Requirements:

  • An advanced degree in life sciences (MD, DO, PharmD, NP, PA, PhD, RN, etc.) (required)
  • At least 3 years’ experience developing clinical education and/or business development strategies (required)
  • At least 1 years’ experience as a scientific lead or medical director in the medical education industry or pharmaceutical medical affairs department (preferred)
  • At least 1 years’ experience supporting grant-based funding efforts (preferred)
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical and healthcare industry regulations and requirements
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Strong copyrighting skills
  • Excellent computer skills and a high degree of proficiency using Microsoft Office suite required
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new therapeutic areas and conduct literature searches using public on-line databases
