Job Description

The Sales and Business Development Coordinator is focused on maintaining a high level of strategic support to expand our current sales opportunities. You will work directly with the Director of Sales, and will be responsible for supporting all sales activities, including lead generation, for the sales team. You will work to produce: lists of prospects, contact information for relevant leads, outreach templates, sales proposals, and similar expanded business opportunities in regards to our healthcare clients. This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational abilities and a strong work ethic. A positive attitude, creativity and persistence applied to researching and interacting with and qualifying prospective customers is also essential. This position affords the successful candidate an amazing opportunity to work with many exciting customers that include pharmaceutical companies, hospital systems and medical associations. The position also offers the right candidate the opportunity for growth into a full sales leadership role.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead all research and prospecting efforts for the sales team
  • Conduct and track daily customer calls/emails and follow ups on customer needs and sales opportunities
  • Work with the sales and marketing teams to design and launch targeted outreach campaigns
  • Check data accuracy in sales CRM, and help fill any gaps as needed
  • Liaise with and support fulfillment teams to ensure timely deliveries to customers
  • Maintain and update sales and customer documents and records, including presentations, quotes, proposals and contracts
  • Prepare and analyze sales pipeline reports and dashboards to share with executive team
  • Communicate important feedback from customers internally
  • Stay up-to-date with new products and features

 

Requirements:

  • Excellent online research skills
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Experience with MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Familiar with LinkedIn, and how it is used for sales prospecting
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and/or projects
  • Driven and resourceful in finding new approaches to ensure messages are resonating with potential customers
  • Ability to problem-solve and identify process efficiencies and improvements

 

Preferred (but not required):

  • Some college or bachelors/associate degree preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with CRM software (HubSpot, Salesforce, Nimble, or similar)
  • 1+ years of previous sales or sales support experience
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry
