With the diagnosis of vestibular schwannomas, the ability to prognosticate about the eventual outcome and disease control is challenging, given the complex set of circumstances in patients with recurrent and/or residual tumors. The present systematic review seeks to summarize the literature on these topics in order to provide clinical practice guidelines based on a robust systematic review of the literature, as well as to identify gaps in our knowledge and suggest avenues for future study
