    • Over the past decade, there has been a significant revolution in our mechanistic understanding of inflammatory skin diseases. This translational revolution initially began with psoriasis but has since expanded to encompass many other common inflammatory skin conditions, including atopic dermatitis, alopecia areata, vitiligo, hidradenitis suppurativa, pustular psoriasis, and acne/rosacea. These advancements have led to the rapid development and testing of more targeted treatments for these diseases in both early and late-stage clinical trials. These new treatments are proving to be safer for long-term disease control compared to older, primarily immune suppressant therapies.
