The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) recently released two drafts of clinical practice guidelines: Treatment of Central Sleep Apnea in Adults and Evaluation and Management of Sleep-Disordered Breathing in Adult Nonsurgical Inpatients.

These guidelines are the result of systematic reviews of both scientific and clinical literature, taking into account the quality of evidence, patient preferences, and the potential risks and benefits associated with each recommendation. It is important to note that the recommendations presented in these drafts are subject to revision before their final publication.

As part of the guideline development process, AASM welcomes feedback and comments from a wide range of stakeholders, including AASM members, healthcare professionals, patients, insurance providers, advocacy groups, medical societies, and the general public. The draft guidelines are currently open for public review, with the following deadlines:
