The Endocrine Society (ES) and the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) have announced that the latest draft of the "Diabetes and Pregnancy: An Endocrine Society and European Society of Endocrinology Joint Clinical Practice Guideline" is now available for public comment.
This guideline aims to update and replace the 2013 Endocrine Society guideline, offering recommendations for managing individuals with preexisting diabetes during pregnancy to minimize maternal and neonatal adverse outcomes. This focus is especially important given the increasing prevalence of preexisting diabetes in pregnant individuals and the critical role of endocrinologists in their care.
As part of the development process, ES welcomes reviews and feedback from the public. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their comments here by March 18, 2025.
