The American Psychological Association’s annual conference takes place August 7 – August 9, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. Registration is now open, and virtual attendance is an option for individuals who will be unable to attend in person.

- Equity and Access in ASD Assessment: Innovations to Meet Critical Need
- 9:30 – 10:30 AM
- Description: This presentation features three innovative models for targeted ASD assessment: Re-Envisioning Clinic-Wide ASD Assessment: The Surge Model, Enhanced Diagnostic Intake (EDI): Streamlining Clinical Processes When Possible, Integrated Primary Care (IPC): Assessment: Leveraging Resources Across Systems.
- Exploring Sleep in Autistic Children: What We Have Learned and What We Can Do
- 2:30 – 3:30 PM
- Description: The session will provide findings of clinical characteristics of insomnia in a large sample of autistic youth. Presenters will describe the results of two intervention programs to target insomnia in autistic children tested in randomized clinical trials. Clinical implications will be discussed along with needed areas for future research.
- ASD in Forensic Settings: Identification and Diagnosis
- 4:00 – 5:00 PM
- Description: This skill-building session is designed to help psychologists working in forensic settings become familiar with autism red flags and gather information to diagnose autism or refer client for a diagnostic evaluation.

- A Conversation about Autism Spectrum and Related Constructs: Implications for Psychologists
- 1:00 – 2:00 PM
- Description: In this session, paid for by Catalight, three presenters with expertise in autism, a psychologist who is a parent of a child with ID, an autistic researcher and a researcher who is also a diagnostician, will engage in a conversation that explores autism constructs, implications of the spectrum and potential avenues for more cohesion in our conceptualization of autism.
- Improving Accessibility of Autism Diagnostic Services through Primary Care Integration
- 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
- Description: This session is a component of Meeting the Need: Creative Solutions for Addressing High Demand for Pediatric Services; There is a high demand for pediatric mental health services. However, there is often insufficient capacity for all patients to be seen without a wait list. This presentation will highlight three examples of creative solutions to meeting the demand for services when capacity is low, especially within integrated healthcare settings.
