- Description: This session will provide in-depth insight into the most common forms of secondary hypertension covering both the pathophysiology and practical approach to management of endocrine and renal disease; and to provide an update about recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of secondary hypertension.
Late-Breaking Clinical Trials: Hypertension
- 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Description: This sessions features the following clinical trial presentations: RETREAT-FRAIL: A randomized controlled clinical trial on the effects of reduction of antihypertensive treatment in very old frail patients; OUTREACH – adherence to treatment and blood pressure control; AIMHY-INFORM: Dual Therapy Arm; Novel Triple Single-Pill for Uncontrolled Hypertension.
Preventing and Treating Hypertension Beyond Medication

- Description: The session will explore evidence-based, non-pharmacological approaches to prevent and manage hypertension effectively focusing on lifestyle, dietary modification, and behavioural strategies; and to address the importance of tailoring interventions to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.

- Description: Presenters will share an overview of current treatments for hypertension from primary healthcare to specialised clinics, including ways to overcome gaps, utilise technology, and personalise care in accordance with the updated ESC Guidelines for the Management of Hypertension, released in 2024.
Hypertension with Cardiometabolic Comorbidities: Which Drugs to Select and Which to Avoid

- Description: Attendees will learn to examine how drug treatment can influence metabolic features and electrolytes in patients with hypertension in the context of urate, potassium, and glucose, as well as the impact of weight on the selection of drug therapies to treat hypertension.
