The 2025 American Epilepsy Society (AES) Annual Meeting is set for December 5 through December 9 in Atlanta, Georgia. The AES Annual Meeting is the largest gathering of epilepsy professionals in the country. For five days in December, it facilitates the exchange of scientific knowledge and clinical expertise, along with being an excellent networking opportunity for healthcare providers, researchers, and advocates dedicated to improving outcomes for individuals affected by epilepsy.

Today we’re previewing the event, including a look at the different registration options, abstracts, CME opportunities, and more.

For your convenience, here is a brief rundown of links to key 2025 AES Annual Meeting pages:

AES 2025 Annual Meeting Registration

Registration for the 2025 AES Annual Meeting is currently open. Registered members can sign in and begin the registration process.

Members and non-members are welcome to register, but members receive a notable discount. There are separate registration rates for physicians, scientists, healthcare providers, industry employees, trainees (residents, fellows, and postdocs), advocates, research coordinators and laboratory assistants, students, and individuals from resource-limited countries.

Digital registration for AES 2025 Digital Select is also available for a reduced cost. Again, separate registration rates are available for the previously mentioned groups. The AES 2025 Digital Select option includes recordings of select sessions and access to all posters online. Take note that Digital Select opens on December 17, 2025, but will remain open through March 17, 2026.

AES 2025 Annual Meeting Abstracts

Abstract submissions and late-breaking abstract submissions for the 2025 AES Annual Meeting are now closed. Accepted abstracts will be presented during three designated time slots: Saturday, December 6, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM; Sunday, December 7, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM; and Monday, December 8, 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM. All abstracts are embargoed until approximately two weeks before the annual meeting, after which they will become available online.

Accepted abstracts will be presented in person and will be available online for 90 days following the meeting. Additionally, many travel awards are available to authors of highly rated abstracts to help offset the travel-related costs of attending the meeting. AES provides an abstracts FAQ page for individuals planning to attend or present at the event.
