The International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) just opened a draft guidance manuscript for public comment. The draft guidance centers on the management of anticoagulation in patients with heparin-induced thrombocytopenia requiring cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass. The considerations in the draft were developed by five content experts following a comprehensive literature review.

The public comment window is open through November 12, 2025. ISTH welcomes “physicians, scientists, and allied health professionals” to provide their feedback by the deadline. An online form is provided for comment submission.
