Every fall, the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) holds its annual CHEST conference. This year, marking 90 years since CHEST was founded in 1935, CHEST 2025 will take place in Chicago, Illinois, from October 19 to October 22.
Featuring world-class educational sessions that focus on the most groundbreaking research and technologies, CHEST is a four-day event packed with networking and professional development opportunities complimented by educational, on-site simulation sessions, research presentations, and insightful lectures from some of the leading individuals advancing chest medicine worldwide.

Selecting the Right Biologic in Asthma Management

- Session Description: In this session attendees will explore key aspects of biologic therapy selection and discuss how to choose the right biologic for the right patient. Predictors of response to biologic therapies will be highlighted with a focus on addressing timing and approaches for biologic switching. Speakers will cover the emerging concept of clinical remission in asthma, particularly in the context of targeted therapies, and will conclude with emerging biologics in the pipeline that could address remaining unmet needs in severe asthma treatment.
In Conversation: Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Chronic Airway Diseases

- Session Description: Recently, studies have highlighted that the prevalence of asthma in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps is estimated at 60% to 70%, and severe asthma associated with nasal polyps represents more than 70% of cases.This panel discussion will focus on perspectives of the treatment paradigm and strategies for managing the intricacies of chronic inflammatory airway diseases.

The session will wrap up with an overview of the newest innovations in biologic therapies for 2025 and what's on the horizon.
Asthma Diagnosis and Evaluation: The New Tools

- Session Description: Variable expiratory airflow limitation, often assessed by bronchodilator challenge, is a defining feature of asthma, but is not reliably demonstrated on spirometry. Moreover, the routine use of bronchodilator responsiveness testing has recently been called into question. Additionally, FENO measurement and Oscillometry are now considered important tools in the diagnostic toolbox. This session will include 20 minute presentations by experts in the field on bronchodilator responsiveness, FENO, and oscillometry.
