Abstract

Thyroid hormones play a significant role in skeletal metabolism and bone turnover. We investigated the effect of levothyroxine (LT4) replacement on bone mineral density (BMD) using dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry in newly diagnosed patients with hypothyroidism.
