This program will provide understanding for urology nurses and APPs on effective treatment approaches for prostate cancer and the clinical benefits of therapies that can significantly influence patient outcomes. Participants will be well-versed in treatment selection and personalization strategies, incorporating novel biomarkers alongside established clinical factors. This includes approaches for treatment intensification in both nonmetastatic and metastatic disease, as well as the potential impact of emerging therapy classes on survival and quality of life throughout the prostate cancer continuum. The program will offer an in-depth review of the latest evidence on new therapies and expert insights into key challenges in prostate cancer management.

This live and enduring activity series is designed to meet the educational needs of urology nurses as well as advanced practice urology nurses, nurse practitioners, and oncology nurses involved in the treatment of patients with advanced prostate cancer

  • Analyze the results of key clinical trials to evaluate the efficacy and safety of new and emerging agents for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer (PC).
  • Formulate personalized treatment strategies to optimize prostate cancer therapy for individual patients in the community urology setting, integrating clinical trial data and patient-specific factors.
  • Describe how nurses and advanced practice providers contribute to improving prostate cancer management in the community urology setting.
