This program will prepare clinicians with a comprehensive understanding of the appropriate treatment and management of patients with la/mUC and the clinical utility of agents that could significantly impact patient outcomes. As novel therapeutic regimens continue to enter the first-line setting, clinical decision-making and treatment sequencing will become increasingly complex. This program will educate clinicians on how to stay abreast of the latest clinical trial data and evidence-based guidelines, along with strategies for implementing optimal multidisciplinary care coordination and AE management to successfully integrate novel therapies into practice and drive sustainable patient outcomes.
Target Audience
This activity series is designed to meet the educational needs of Medical Oncologists, Urologists, Oncology Nurses, Pharmacists, NPs/PAs and other health care professionals who treat patients with bladder cancer.
Learning Objectives
  • Appraise the latest efficacy and safety data from clinical trials supporting the integration of novel IO-based regimens for veterans with la/mUC
  • Formulate treatment plans aligned with current practice guidelines for veterans with la/mUC, including consideration of eligibility criteria and previously received therapy
  • Apply a multidisciplinary team approach to developing comprehensive treatment plans based on disease- and patient-specific characteristics for patients with la/mUC within the VA health system
  • Devise expert and team-based strategies to identify, monitor, and manage AEs associated with novel IO-based regimens, including immune-related AEs
