Job Description

The Marketing Coordinator and sales support lead is focused on maintaining a high level of strategic support to expand our current footprint in the marketplace. You will work directly with the Vice President, along with members of the sales team, and you will be the lead responsible for supporting all sales and marketing activities. You will work to produce: researched lists of potential companies/products, lists of prospects, contact information for relevant leads, outreach templates, sales proposals, and similar expanded business opportunities in regards to our healthcare clients. You will also support marketing efforts with email blasts, newsletters, website content, blogs and social media and more. This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational abilities and a strong work ethic. A positive attitude, creativity and persistence applied to researching and interacting with and qualifying prospective customers is also essential. This position affords the successful candidate an amazing opportunity to work with many exciting customers that include pharmaceutical companies, hospital systems and medical specialty associations. The position also offers the right candidate the opportunity for growth into a director/managerial role in sales and/or marketing.

 

Sales – Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support all research and prospecting efforts for the sales team
  • Help conduct and track daily customer calls/emails and follow ups on customer needs and sales opportunities
  • Maintain data accuracy and completeness in sales CRM
  • Support management of sales accounts, including tracking fulfillment of existing and upcoming programs
  • Maintain and update sales and customer documents and records, including presentations, quotes, proposals and contracts
  • Prepare and analyze sales pipeline reports and dashboards to share with executive team
  • Communicate important feedback from customers internally

 

Marketing – Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the sales and marketing teams to design and launch targeted outreach campaigns
  • Help with creation of sales and marketing content, such as emails, newsletters, mail pieces and similar
  • Help with website and mobile app content, including landing pages, blog and similar
  • Coordinate social media efforts
  • Work with external contractors, vendors and partners to support sales and marketing efforts
  • Manage customer database records

 

Requirements:

  • Excellent online research skills
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Strong with MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Deep experience with LinkedIn, and how it is used for sales prospecting
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
  • CRM experience (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and/or projects
  • Driven and resourceful in finding new approaches to ensure messages are resonating with potential customers
  • Ability to problem-solve and identify process efficiencies and improvements

 

Preferred (but not required):

  • Some college or bachelors/associate degree preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous sales, marketing or sales support experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry is preferred
  • Experience with email marketing best practices and applications
  • Online marketing experience
