The 2026 Summer Sinus Symposium of the American Rhinologic Society (ARS) is just a few weeks away. From July 24 through July 26, in Miami, Florida, the symposium is three days full of educational sessions and networking opportunities. The 2026 meeting marks the fifteenth year of the symposium and ARS has plenty of exciting sessions for attendees to engage with.

Friday, July 24
- Reviewing the Evidence: New Guidelines, Position Statement and Practical Tips

- Description: This session focuses on recent clinical guidelines and statements related to otolaryngology. The strength of evidence of recommendations will be assessed alongside practice tips for optimizing clinical decision-making regarding the latest standards of care.
- Innovative Approaches to In-Office and OR Management of Nasal Congestion and Rhinitis

- Description: Attendees will review emerging and established treatment options for nasal congestion and rhinitis, evaluate patient selection criteria, apply case-based insights for integrating therapies into clinical practice, and more.
- Surgery vs. Biologics Debate: A Constantly Evolving Framework for Optimizing Outcomes

- Description: This session features a debate on current controversies regarding if and when surgery should be performed prior to initiating a biologic, along with a discussion on the future of biologics, and a review of the economics of biologics versus surgery for type 2 inflammatory diseases.
- Next-Gen Rhinologic Surgical Tools: What’s Actually Worth Adopting

- Description: The focus of this session is a critical evaluation of the next generation of rhinologic and skull base technologies to determine which technologies meaningfully improve surgical efficiency, precision, ergonomics, and safety.
- New and Updated Approaches for Managing Refractory Rhinosinusitis

- Description: In this sessions, attendees will learn about the latest definitions, phenotypes, and contributing factors associated with refractory rhinosinusitis, evaluate patient selection criteria, and more.
- Virtual Visits, Real Decisions: Telemedicine Pearls for the Rhinologist
- 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM
- Description: Attendees will apply telemedicine to common rhinology scenarios, learn how to better integrate telemedicine into a rhinology practice, and better understand medico-legal considerations and best practices for to adhere to compliancy and patient safety.
Saturday, July 25
- The Great Sinus Headache Debate: Nose vs. Brain

- Description: Attendees will learn to differentiate primary headache disorders from rhinogenic headache based on symptoms, imaging, and exam findings, along with learning how to appropriately choose patients for primary neurology referral versus rhinologic evaluation.
- The Great Eustachian Tube Debate: Inflate or Investigate?

- Description: Attendees will learn to differentiate between patulous, obstructive, and secondary EDT based on endoscopic findings, tympanometry, exam, and history.
- The Great Sleep Apnea Debate: Treat the Nose or Treat the Night?

- Description: During this session, attendees will learn to identify expected effects of nasal surgery on subjective sleep symptoms versus objective sleep study outcomes, along with understanding how nasal interventions influence adherence to CPAP Oral appliances and other therapies.

- Description: With a focus on epistaxis, this session will discuss novel pharmacologic therapies, unique patient populations, and anesthetic strategies.
- Refractory Cough Masterclass: Modern Evaluation and Management
- 3:15 PM – 4:00 PM
- Description: Attendees will learn evidence-informed treatment algorithms for managing refractory or unexplained chronic cough and review emerging evidence on novel pharmacologic therapies.

- Description: This session focuses on AFRS treatment, specifically controversies and gaps surrounding AFRS treatment.
- The Many faces of CRSsNP: Heterogeneity, Endotypes and Precision Treatment
- 10:45 AM – 11:30 AM
- Description: Attendees will learn to differentiate CRSsNP from CRSwNP based on presentation, radiographic patterns, underlying pathophysiology, and inflammatory profiles.
- Immunology Made Simple: Endotypes You Need to Know to Choose the Right Therapy
- 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM
- Description: This session will help attendees in defining key CRS inflammatory endotypes and understanding their underlying immune pathways, along with translating immunologic concepts into practical therapeutic decision making.
- Pushing the Boundaries of the Endoscopic Endonasal Approach: How Far is Too Far?
- 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM
- Description: This session includes a discussion on considerations where pure endoscopic resection is feasible versus citations where an open craniofacial approach is needed versus planned open/endo approaches. Presenters will discuss pearls on endoscopic surgical margin management, endoscopic approach to the infratemporal fossa, and the endoscopic management of orbital involvement.
