The American Academy of Neurology (AAN) opened an upcoming guideline update for public comment.
Recanalization Therapy for Acute Ischemic Stroke Practice Guideline is open for public comments through June 29, 2025.
AAN states that it's not only looking for comments from healthcare professionals, but also from individuals who experienced acute ischemic stroke, their care partners, patient organization members, researchers, and advocates.
The AAN also notes that this version of the draft only features studies published up to July 2021, and an additional update is planned. Commenters are encouraged to submit updated study suggestions as well.
