KDIGO Draft Guideline for Acute Kidney Injury and Acute Kidney Disease Now Open for Public Comment

Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) recently opened a draft of its clinical practice guideline on acute kidney injury (AKI) and acute kidney disease (AKD) to public comment. The draft features six chapters related to AKI and AKD, including classifications, risk stratification, and follow-up care. This 2026 guideline is an update to KDIGO's previous, 2012 guideline on the same topic.
