The American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) recently announced it is seeking public feedback for a draft guideline containing five recommendations. The draft guideline, Assessment and Treatment of Acute Low Back Pain: A Clinical Practice Guideline, is intended for clinicians with patients presenting with acute low back pain, with or without radiculopathy, in outpatient settings.
The public comment window is open to any interested individuals, including patients, but the AAPM notes that patient-facing content and resources are under development.
