- Time: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM (Eastern Daylight Time)
- Location: Room 307, John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center
- Protein-energy wasting (PEW) is a frequent concern for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage kidney disease (ESKD), significantly contributing to frailty and poor clinical outcomes. This session will focus on the importance of nutrition physical assessments and the application of composite indices to identify malnutrition/PEW in the CKD population. Expert instructors will present evidence supporting these methods, and participants will practice assessment techniques, receiving feedback to improve their clinical skills for better patient care.
