Introducing our new Yearly Recap series, intended to highlight the key data and trends in the world of clinical practice guidelines, we will kick it off with our first article that will cover some of the main data points relating to guidelines that were published in 2022. Keep in mind, this list is focused only on organizations in the USA that produce guidelines and groups that publish “global” guidelines.

First, let’s take a closer look at the number published and relative frequency. There have been 188 new guidelines added to the library (so far) in 2022.

One of the biggest surprises of the year is the ALPS document for Nutrition Interventions in Adults with Diabetic Foot Ulcers! This is the first official document produced by ALPS (the American Limb Preservation Society), and from the looks of it, was a very well received document!

To wrap things up, let’s take a look at the guidelines with the longest average viewing duration or session duration (in minutes and seconds). We limited these results to guidelines that had been viewed 100 or more times in 2022.
