The American Society of Hematology (ASH) just opened draft recommendations for a new guideline on the diagnosis of iron deficiency to public comment.

The open comment window runs through October 29, 2025. Individuals are directed to submit comments to guidelines@hematology.org. Comments submitted elsewhere will not be considered.
The draft recommendations feature five recommendations focusing on diagnosing iron deficiency in young children, adults, menstruating individuals, pregnant individuals, and adults with anemia of inflammation.
